Introduction
In order to manage devices (UAP/USW/USG) with a UniFi Elite controller, a device license is required prior to migrating/adopting each device to your Elite controller.
All device licenses are purchased for a yearly term. A device license provides the following:
- Enables adoption/configuration within Elite controller
- Eligibility to receive Elite phone support for these devices
- Extends limited warranty for the duration of the license- and is extended with each annual subscription renewal.
- Expedited RMA in the case of a hardware failure
How to Add Device Licenses
To add device licenses, follow these steps:
1. Sign in to https://unifi.ubnt.com
2. Go to Settings
3. Navigate to Subscriptions tab
4. Select Add Device Licenses
5. Add the necessary licenses based on each device model.
6. Click Subscribe.
